I just read this comment from Deborah R. Turner, a fellow NaNoWriMor. It is helping to keep me going this afternoon:
"I’ll let you all know how I do and any lessons I learn from NaNoWriMo
this year. I always learn something — about myself, my characters, and
writing. This is never a bad thing." So I've been learning, mainly how to balance my time. Yesterday I had to spend part of the afternoon working on a project for MWSA, and today, I had a brunch appointment with a neighbor I need to know better. In between, I've averaged over 2200 words a day, for a total of 4592. That's considerably better than the requirement of 1667 a day. -- Not spectacular, mind you, but a good showing so far. Maybe preparation pays off. |
