Earlier today, I read a lament by a good friend who had suddenly discovered that her backspace key no longer worked. What could be wrong? The answer, she found, was something like three million cat hairs that had collected around the key. I was sympathetic because the same thing happens around Katzenhaus Books, where five cats take turns causing havoc on my desk.
